U19s Round 14 v Old Haileyburian's: Lost by 8
1st August 2006

What a game ! Probably not the prettiest game due to blustery conditions but
the intensity was fanatastic .
The younger smaller Panthers played a very good first quarter into the wind
with their trademark tackling coming to the fore.Their inexperience in front
of goal didn't help with 4.10 with the wind in the second and only leading
at half time by 2.5. Lumsden, Wilton and Moon on the ball were prominent.
Although weary , the O.m's hung tough in the third quarter to take a slender
lead in at three quarter time, knowing they had the wind in the last
quarter. It wasn't to be as the top side rallied and out scored us into the
wind to take out a very close and tough encounter. The O.M's were in front
for the majority of the day but just couldn't shake the top side when it
counted.
