ROUND 14: UPDATE

1st August 2007

Round 14 saw the seniors and reserves take the long trip over to Bundoora to take on Old Parade, while the 19's took on Melbourne High School Old Boys at Melbourne High. The ressies started off the day in fine fashion, as they have done for a number of weeks. Again dominating play, they showed that they were a class above bottom dwellers Old Parade. Anthony 'Sold Out' Kiantos showcased his sublime talent while Bernie 'Taquito' Coghlan took charge of the midfield. In the end the ressies ran out 72 point victors, not forgetting T.B kicking another 7 for the season. The seniors went out to Parade College confident of a win; however the first quarter proved that it was going to a tough encounter. The main break saw Parade up by 3 points. After the half time break, the panthers came out determined to show Parade that the OMFC are no pushovers. With an 8 goal to 5 goal second half the panthers were able to just get over the line by 15 points. A big game for both the ressies and the seniors next week against top of the ladder Oakleigh AFC, MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT KEYSY!!
The 19's again had to win again to keep there finals hopes alive and win they did. Without gaining total control over MHSOB's the young pups were never really challenged. Matt 'Staggas' Campbell showed his brilliance yet again while yr 11 Michael 'Hyphen' Myers-Snyders snagged 3 majors. The 19's will travel out to Trinity Playing Fields on Saturday in a do or die match against Trinity. IF YOU CANT MAKE IT TO KEYSY......GET ON THE 19's AT TRINITY
