Preparations for 2010 begin (inclues pre season calendar)

23rd November 2009

A word from Senior coach Andrew Hayes

As I mentioned last season “Success” can only be measured by the standards we set for ourselves - so what standards do we set for ourselves for 2010? I have watched our club closely for a number of years and have continually been told about the great talent we have within our club. My statement to all club members is that Talk is cheap – enough is enough – the time has come to let our actions speak louder than our words. I am sending the challenge to all club members, players and sponsors to get on board for this season and to take the next step for the benefit of the club.

The focus for this preseason is to strengthen our bodies and minds and to make sure we give ourselves every opportunity for “success”. Be prepared to work hard for yourself and your teammates. The motivation must come from within as we take up the challenges of the upcoming season.

I am rapped to welcome Gary Brown to our coaching group as his wealth of experience will be terrific for our Under 19s and this will make us a better club for the present and future.

Much work has been done in the off season and I am setting a target of 100 as our pre Christmas benchmark. I put the challenge to all that we get 100 different faces down to training in the next 3 weeks. Don’t make excuses – get down to training. Check the training dates carefully as to where we are training each session.

See you there!
