2008 PRESEASON STARTS Wed 30th Jan 630pm @ MGS gym

Dear Players,

Our first official training run on Wednesday 30th January will symbolise what you we want out of the 2008 season. The training will be shortened by a Season Launch at Mentone Grammar School outlining the season ahead. Your presence will indicate that you are IN.

If we put preseason into context, we only have approximately 20 sessions to prepare for our first game against Aquinas on April 12th.

Our first game is being used to celebrate the club’s 40th Year Birthday celebrations. A WIN therefore is paramount for all 3 teams. But great wins only come through great preparation and to be honest I want our first win to symbolise what we are about for 2008 and beyond and that is CREATING HISTORY.

In 2007 we established a culture built upon ownership and respect. The only way that this can continue is by outstanding training, commitment and dedication. To create history means that we must establish ourselves as an outstanding group of trainers – the best in the comp. We must love our time together and it starts on Wednesday January 30th.

It really comes down to our Catch-Cry!

You are either IN or You are OUT.

I hope you are IN because we will be a better team with you involved.
